Welcome to the final installment of Peony the pregosaurus! Any future pictures (hopefully in the next two weeks) will include pictures of Baby Allen, because I'm too sick of my giant belly to photograph it anymore! Also, Baby Allen's name will not be revealed until she arrives, so quit asking!

Here's the report from today's doctor's appointment:
At 38 weeks, my iron is up a bit (10.3), umbilical blood flow is good, cervix has not started dilating yet. On the monitor today I had a few contractions (which are mild enough that they just feel like baby movements to me) and my weight has actually gone down slightly since last week. The doctor told me that the weight and contractions meant that things would likely start happening soon. Anyway, I'm very hopeful that this means we may get to meet this little girl soon - at least not past her due date. :)

Just a few pictures of Munich in the snow for your viewing pleasure :)

And another uneventful doctor's appt. - all's well with the baby and she's still hanging out in my belly.

Take care everyone!

We had a good day at Hoenschwangau today. Billy and Brendon went to the castles and Finn and I hiked around the lake for a few hours and up to Neuschwanstein. It was cold and foggy, but nice.

Brendon didn't like my last pic, so here's a new one. We haven't been up to much lately. The weather was nice today though so Finn and I walked for an hour to the doggy area by the river and he got to run around with the other dogs, and Brendon went for an hour long bike ride. We also had a fabulous trip to Walmart!!! Woo-hoo. Exciting stuff. You guys are really missing out ;-)

Oh, also, Rock Chalk Jayhawk - GO KU!!! Great win against Iowa State in OT!

Welcome to the next installment of Peony's belly is getting ready to POP!!!

Yes, it's true, I'm growing a watermelon inside me - can't prove it, but the shape and size are about right. Awful squirmy little watermelon though ;-)

Anyway, here's my 34 week pic, just 6 more to go! Also a pic of Finn trying to hypnotize you...

Guten Neues Jahre!!!

I'm happy to report that Brendon still has all of his fingers, toes and teeth after the New Year's late night pyro-technik fireworks display ;-) It was really amazing how many people were up and shooting things off at midnight. It was like the 4th of July in the States, only later. We had dinner with Brendon's friend John and his family. They live about 40 min outside of Munich. Then got to meet about 20 of their neighbors and their kids at midnight during the festivities. It was fun. Got home pretty late though (2:30 am). And, short of Brendon nursing a bit of a headache the next day - strange how one too many beers will do that - we had a great time. :)

Wishing a Happy & Healthy 2007 to Everyone!
