Congratulations to Brendon on Graduation! We had a great weekend in Philly - complete with graduation activities, campus tour, city tour, lunch in Chinatown, hamming it up like Rocky and lots of fun comments by Addi. Every time I go under a bridge with her now, I am sure to hear "Duck your head" thanks to this trip ;-)

We had a great Mother's Day - 4 generations at two events! Now we just need to get a post Mother's Day picture with Grandma Margaret :) It also appears that Addi's going through a fingers in face phase during photos...

I just realized that I haven't posted pictures for a while. I got Addi's swingset set-up and then got a nasty sinus infection, but am feeling better now. Addi's been loving the swing set, sliding, swinging, and her new favorite, hanging from the swinging bar. She has also learned to somersault, which she's been doing all over the house. We love that, until she tries to somersault down the stairs or off the bed ;) It's always an adventure with our active girl.

This Kansas weather likes to surprise us. We woke up this morning with 2 inches of snow on the ground and Addi couldn't get outside fast enough. It was all I could do to get some breakfast in her before we bundled up to go sledding, walking and making snowmen. What a great morning! - Oh, and if cousin Ethan checks this, Addi is currently trying to figure out how to send you a snowman without it melting. What a conundrum...

Birthday Girl's Boots

And here's what the birthday girl picked to wear this morning. Unfortunately her runny nose and cough is getting worse again this afternoon, so she's not smiling like she was about the boots this morning. Birthday colds are the worst :( She is much happier now that Dora's on though - I can hear her yelling "Swiper No Swiping" as I stir the macaroni...

Happy Birthday Addi - 2 years! It's amazing how fast they've gone. Addi helped me decorate her cake today - sprinkles! yay! - it was lots of fun. Then we had dinner with her grandparents and great grandma Bowman "Bubbles." Speaking of bubbles, Addi got a bubble blower, which she proceeded to laugh about, run through, pop, stomp on, etc. Aren't bubbles fun. I wish I could think of a birthday gift that would make me so happy that I was giddy enough to run around giggling contagiously. Ah, to be two again...

She'll be two in just under two weeks and I couldn't be more proud!

To round out our holidays, we had a visit from my Dad and family last weekend. We really enjoyed showing them a little bit of Lawrence, playing at the park and playing ball in the backyard while the weather was still nice. The best picture I got was of cousin Ethan going down the slide at the park. So, I've included it and some other pictures of Addi at the Lawrence open gym, playing with her "fancy jewlery" and laughing at her frog. We've had a good few weeks, but it's been good to get back on schedule.
